Fire erupted in a garment factory in Karachi’s industrial area on Friday.
The factory located in Federal B area caught fire due to short circuit.
No loss of human life has been reported as the security guard and night shift workers remained safe in the incident.
Initially, two vehicles of fire brigade were summoned to extinguish the fire but five more were called later after observing the intensity of the blaze.
The factory’s wall was demolished to reach the affected site.
Fire officials said that the inferno broke out in the basement and engulfed other parts of the factory.
Firefighters limited the blaze to only one part of the building and extinguished it after a hectic effort of two hours.
The process of cooling is underway.
