The meeting of the Standing Committee on Communications Committee on Tuesday took notice of the increase in accidents on the Super Highway (under-construction M-9 Motorways) and directed to take measures to control the accidents on the diversion area of the project.
The committee unanimously recommended to approve the Post Office (Amendment) Bill, 2016 with the objective to provide for the issuance of postal orders having their value more than Rs 50 for the use and benefit of general public.
The committee which met here under the chairmanship of MNA Muhammad Muzammil Qureshi, also considered the Pakistan Private Courier Regulatory Authority Bill, 2015 moved by MNA Belum Hasnain and the Post Office (Amendment) Bill, 2016, and recommended to involve all the stakeholders in the process of legislation.
Therefore the bill was deferred. MNAs Mir Shabbir Ali Bijrani, Dr Darshan, Nazir Ahmed Bughio, Ramesh Lal and Salim Rehman attended the meeting.
